Client I Artos
Role I Freelance Product Designer
Services I Art Direction, UI/UX
Artos is an importer of mobile electronics and outdoor gear with annual revenue of 25M USD. Their products are sold in more than 3500 brick and mortar stores across Israel including AM:PM, Office Depot, Rami Levy, Stimatsky, Yellow and many more. They hired me to redesign their website. This project is in development and will be live on Aug 2021.
EXISTING
STORE DESIGN
Artos’s website was originally built on
a template-based platform in order to showcase their catalogue to retail purchasing managers, while giving people the option to buy as well.
THE MAIN CHALLENGES
When COVID-19 hit, the management realized that while other businesses and costumers are
‘going digital’ - they are left behind. They needed to adapt quickly to the new reality.
DEFINING THE VOICE
OF THE BRAND
In order to start selling products online to individuals customers, Artos needed to first define its online identity in a manner that will resonate with digital visitors.
GETTING INSIDE THE CUSTOMER'S HEAD
The shift in focus - from targeting wholesalers to targeting private people, required a complete restructuring of the layout and the navigation.
PAVING THE WAY TO
IMPULSE BUYING
Many of the brand’s products are ‘spur of the moment’ purchases, discovered by customers while waiting in the checkout line. We needed to ignite the same urge
in the online experience.

JOURNEY & BRAND TOGETHER
To create a unified customer experience,
I also defined how to apply the visual guidelines of the online store to the packaging system. The client embraced my suggestion and the new branding can now be found in the stores.
